Parents/Grandparents Sponsorship Interest to Sponsor Form Deadline

If you are a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident living in Canada who  wants to sponsor the following family members living abroad, you have until noon EST on February 1, 2018 to fill out an “Interest to Sponsor” form. On January 2, 2018, the Government of Canada started receiving online submissions from potential sponsors who would like to sponsor their parents or grandparents to become permanent residents of Canada. A lot of people are asking me about the definition of DEPENDENT CHILD and are confused with the AGE LIMIT. By definition, ” A son or daughter is considered a dependant of their parent when the child is: UNDER 19 YEARS OLD (18 YEARS OLD), and does not have a spouse or partner, or 19 years old and over, and has depended largely on the parent’s financial support since before the age of 19 because of a physical or mental
